1. The Foundation: Zero Server Uploads
At PDF to EPUB Pro, we believe the only way to truly protect your confidential documents is to never touch them in the first place.
Unlike conventional conversion websites (such as CloudConvert, Zamzar, or Online2PDF) that require you to upload your files to remote cloud storage, our application runs 100% locally inside your web browser using client-side JavaScript, Web Workers, and Mozilla PDF.js.
🔒 Zero Server Storage: When you convert a PDF into an EPUB using our service, your document is processed entirely in your computer or smartphone's local memory. The file is never transmitted to our servers, stored on hard drives, or seen by any third party.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
Because processing occurs on the client side, we collect:
- NO Document Contents: We cannot read, view, copy, or index any text, images, or metadata inside your PDFs.
- NO Personal Identity Data: No registration, account creation, or email address is required to use this tool.
- NO Biometric or Financial Data: We do not ask for credit card numbers, billing addresses, or phone numbers.
3. Use of Local Browser Storage
We use modern browser localStorage solely to improve your user experience on the client device:
p2e_theme: Saves your preferred color theme (Dark Mode or Light Mode).p2e_cookie_consent: Stores your cookie banner response so the banner does not repeatedly appear.
This data remains strictly on your local browser and is never uploaded or transmitted to any analytics service.
4. Third-Party CDNs (Content Delivery Networks)
Our application loads static, open-source script libraries (Mozilla PDF.js and JSZip) from reputable public Content Delivery Networks (such as Cloudflare CDNJS). When your browser fetches these static scripts, standard HTTP headers (such as your IP address and User-Agent) may be logged by the CDN provider in accordance with their standard privacy policies for DDoS protection. No document data is ever shared with CDNs.
5. GDPR and CCPA Compliance
Because PDF to EPUB Pro does not collect, store, or sell personal information or file data, our architecture inherently complies with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) by design (Privacy by Architecture).
6. Security & Offline Capability
Once our web application is loaded into your browser, you can safely disconnect your internet connection and convert sensitive documents completely offline. This guarantees total air-gapped security for sensitive legal briefs, financial analyses, healthcare records, or unreleased literature.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect technological improvements. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated revision date.
8. Contact Regarding Privacy
